THE RETURN OF MAY SHIPMENT FROM NGC

Sharing with you guys the unboxing of May shipment from NGC / NCS received today 26th June 2015.

There are more Malaysian collectors are sending their coins to NGC and NCS currently as they have realize the important of coins preservation and conservation by NGC/NCS to preserve the lustre of your coins that will last for many years.

Every Malaysian coin collector knows the quality of the commemorative proof silver coins and nordic gold coins are dreadful (especially the nordic gold coins). Perhaps the planchet used are lower quality to mint the coins and after one year you could see a very faint white layer started to grow on the coin surface and some coins may have develop some white spots. These are symptoms of oxidization. If you ignore the symptoms the white spots will grow larger and soon cover the whole coin and it is too late for NCS to restore your coin back to its original condition.

Malaysian commemorative coins are of very low mintage from the year 2003 onwards and most of these coins are oxidized hence many collectors now are rushing to conserve these proof coins with the help of NCS service. There are very few that could achieve high grade of PF69 to PF70.

1976 Conservation proof series are highly sought after by collectors now because of the huge amount of interest in the gold proof  Cipan (Tapir) even though the silver proof has high mintage of 7500 sets of 2 but it has an international theme and was minted by Royal Mint U.K. (better quality compare with the modern issues).

I could remember very well during the issue of 2010 Jupem coins there were very few collectors want to keep this issue because it was not a popular theme and the design are awful but the mintage are extremely low only 200sets issued for set of 2. But after five years the scenario changed with the new Gen-Y collectors came in and start chasing all the low mintage coins and the price surged to unchartered territory.

Pefect score PF70 !!! Highly sought after by collectors.

These are extremely low mintage and considered extremely rare or rated as "RRR".
(Left) 2010 KTM mintage 300pcs, (Center) 2008 TUDM (Airforce) mintage 350pcs, (Right) 2009 Astronomy mintage 350pcs

PF69 trio and highly sought after by collectors.
These are extremely low mintage and considered extremely rare or rated as "RRR"

2015 Asean Submit. I decided to send this latest commemorative coins set of 2 to NGC for grading now because i want to avoid sending to NCS later after a year.

ERROR COINS

These are very high grade of error coins belong to one of my client (Mr. Sapeli A.Malek) I was very surprise that these error coins could achieve such high grade. Congratulation to you.

Happy reading.
