Obviously RM1.00 ZB is taking the lead it went to RM250.00 per piece on November 2013 and was done recently on 23rd January 2014 for RM450.00 per piece a pair of 2 pieces consecutive numbers that was the peak.
This consecutive pair (as above picture) was sold for RM900.00 per pair. The high price was done perhaps it was consecutive pair and it fetches a premium (only about 10% higher) as most dealers have got individual pieces only and there are no consecutive pieces of more than one piece was ever seen thus far.
Many dealers argued the high price was fair because there was no bundles or stacks available in the market and only comes in individual pieces in between the stacks of common RM1.00 notes. What if i show to you another similar piece as below and tell me your thoughts ?
What does this picture tell you ? It show to you base on the serial number 0134990, there are "one hundred and thirty four thousand and nine hundred and ninety" pieces were issued by BNM. This is the highest number i have ever seen till today 16/02/2014. Do you still think this is rare ?
Now let us compare with RM5.00 ZB replacement banknotes as picture below.
Thus far this is the highest serial number i have ever seen (plus or minus 100pieces more). Have you ever seen any serial number higher than this one 0055401 ? That mean there were "fifty five thousand four hundred and one" pieces issued by BNM. And the current price is only about RM35.00 per piece on average. This is a far cry comparing with the RM1.00 ZB replacement note !
Eventhough the RM5.00 ZB replacement notes can be found in bundles of 100pieces and the RM1.00 ZB replacement notes can't be found in this manner doesn't mean they are rare.
What if someone with strong hands are quitely kept the the RM1.00 ZB since it was the lowest cost (only RM1.00) to be kept and put aside for awhile before it reappear again when the price are higher ? This for sure are bound to happen. And when (not if) this happen the price would collapse back to RM1.20 each piece ?
My advice to those newbies collectors please do your own mathematics and dont simply follow the flock !
The above pictures are proof and not hear say and it worth a thousand words on where to put your money.
I rest my case !

ReplyDeleteSO FAR I SAW ZB 006
ReplyDeletebut ppl say he saw ZB 01 , BUT NO ANY PROVE.
let's check..together
Hi Steven,
DeleteThank you for your comments. Please do not listen to "people say" without proof shown because talk is cheap. You must see it with your own eyes and take some pictures to show proof.
It does not make sense for collectors to chase after RM1 ZB with current price RM450.00 each and with doubled the mintage of RM5 ZB.
But it does make sense for people that want to control RM1 ZB because it is cheaper to hoard compare with the RM5 ZB.

Andrew
Haha.. Rm5 zb??? Keep on mate.. I got a stack of rm5 zb... But rm1 zb ??? Got a lot too,but neither 1 of those in unc cond.. Its hard to find 1 in unc cond.. Consecutive??? Keep on dreaming.. Theres always a reason y some of banknotes being chase by collector.. U think just because rm5 zb total circulated was low compare with rm1 zb will make rm5 zb rare n much more demanding by collectorin the future??? U so funny mate.. Rm5 zb000 unc rm40/pcs.. Rm1 zb0 unc rm400--rm600.. Do the math u noob..
