Well this is my first post of my blog and would like to share with you some of my personal collections which are NOT for sale and some are for sale.
I would like to start my blog with our Malaysia Kijang Emas.
The Malaysian Kijang Emas was first minted in December 2000 by the Royal Mint of Malaysia. It was launched by the then Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr.
Mahathir Mohamad on 17 July 2001.
Malaysia is the 12th country in the world to issue its own gold bullion coin, and joins the ranks of the
Canadian Gold Maple Leaf,
American Gold Eagle,
Australian Gold Nugget, and South African
Krugerrand.
Thus making the mintage for year 2000 the lowest and consider Kijang Emas as a Semi-Numismatic coin. However the Kijang Emas was minted for only 3 years until 2003 and have stopped and this makes it very rare and sought after for bullion gold coin collectors.
Malaysia is the 12th country in the world to issue its own gold bullion coin. The Kijang Emas now joins the ranks of other international gold bullion coins. The design of the obverse of the Kijang Emas depicts a barking deer ("kijang") in its natural habitat in the Malaysian jungle. The reverse side features the hibiscus, the national flower of Malaysia.
This gold coin was issued by MALAYSIA CENTRAL BANK (BANK NEGARA MALAYSIA) which is legal tender with face value.
