While the Malaysian numismatics slow down somethings are slowly heating up under the radar, that is the 40th Anniversary of Malaysia-China Diplomatic Relations commemorative coins issued on 27th June 2014. The set of 2 (proof silver coin & nordic gold coin) as always in high demand for every issues because of its low mintage of 750sets minted and has made some remarkable price jump especially for this issue followed by the single silver proof coin (1oz.) with 2000pcs minted and the set of 3 (gold (7.96gm) + silver + nordic gold coin).

The current market price for the Set of 2 is around RM650-RM700 and Single silver proof coin is RM350-RM380.

Based on the past result from the MNS auction 161 on 28th Sept 2014 exactly after 3 months from the date of issuance the realized price for the set of 3 is RM3400 (issue price RM2100.00) with mintage of 750sets minted. The performance was astounding due to strong demand particularly for this series.

One important trend that become more pronounced in 2014 is the proliferation of colored proof "one full ounce" silver coins and exquisite details that makes it attractive to collectors.

Many dealers are accumulating a.k.a. hoarding this series as it yields high prices to the chinese collectors in China.  

There aren't many available stocks left in the market place if you are searching for it.
